Tired of lugging around your baggage when you’re at the airport? Walking long distances to get to your destination can be a bit aggravating, not to mention tiresome. Well, travel just got even more convenient, as there’s now a travel suitcase that autonomously follows you on its own, enabling you to travel with a little less worry. Meet Ovis, your new self-rolling AI suitcase.

The self-rolling suitcase is produced by ForwardX; a robotics company headquartered in Beijing, China. The self-driving capabilities are achieved by integrating the housed AI with protected cameras, as the series of algorithms used are designed so that the case consistently side-follows you (as opposed from behind) while avoiding other obstacles when in motion.

The smart-luggage is TSA approved and airline friendly. While high amplitude installed batteries in other luggage are a common problem with TSA, Ovis carries a removable battery that easily pops back in, which is convenient when passing through those scan-happy security gates. With a roomy interior, charge on-the-go ports, the only thing it’s missing is coffee-making capabilities. An add-on massager wouldn’t be bad either! ForwardX’s Ovis is scheduled to market in the second half of the year and will retail around $800 USD.
