Mel Brooks did it again. He put a brilliant comedic twist on a Hollywood classic, the Chinese Theatre print ceremony. The “twist” was a prosthetic sixth finger that the 88-year-old filmmaker wore while cementing his prints in stone. It’s a very fitting stunt for the occasion, the 40th anniversary and Blue Ray release of his award winning comedy “Young Frankenstein.”
When addressing his faux finger, Brooks said it was “just in case somebody from Des Moines, Iowa, says ‘Harry! Harry! Look, Mel Brooks has six fingers on his left hand!’”
The print is unique, refreshing, and of coarse funny—it’s Mel Brooks. Know more.
