That’s right, the funky four, who have donned socks on their dicks over the years, made music that the CIA deemed appropriate for torturing prisoners. Apparently after September 11th, the CIA documented a plethora of torture procedures. In those few 6,600 pages, playing a track on repeat was one of the more humane options. Other torture methods include sleep deprivation and shackling prisoners while dousing them in water.
I love me some RHCP, but if I had to listen to Anthony Kiedis yell “Give it away, give it away, give it away, give it away now,” throughout the day, I might lose my fucking mind. The Chili Peppers are not the only band whose music was used for torture. Guantanamo Bay prisoners were victim to the industrial rock of Skinny Puppy, a Canadian band.
